Liberty gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wyoming East Warriors, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since September 24, 2024.

Liberty had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Wyoming East's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty will challenge Greenbrier East on Saturday. As for Wyoming East, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Princeton on the 28th.
