Mohawk had won seven straight  games  and  Emerson Gurney did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Upper Sandusky Rams for which the team can thank  Gurney, who  had 11  digs and four  aces. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last 17 games she's  played.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mohawk took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15,  25-9.
Mohawk was led to victory by  Cara Peterson and  Biz Klopp.  Peterson  had four  digs and three  aces, while  Klopp  hit 57.9% for 12  kills and three  aces and two  blocks.
 They weren't the only good servers: Mohawk  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 12  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Mohawk's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Upper Sandusky, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  on the road.
 Mohawk wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-0  victory against Hopewell-Loudon on the 15th. As for Upper Sandusky, after both having extra time off, they and Bellevue will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
