Baseball Game Preview: Lena-Winslow Panthers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

Lena-Winslow will venture away from home to square off against Erie-Prophetstown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Panthers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They came out on top against Stillman Valley by a score of 8-5 on Tuesday.

Luke Madigan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Aiden Wild was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Khayne Albright was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown beat Stark County 8-3 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
