It was a proper cat-fight when Millard West faced off against Marshalltown on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 5-3. The victory was some much needed relief for Millard West as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista entered their tilt with Bellevue East on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Chieftains a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Papillion-LaVista, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Bellevue East with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cade Wills, Cael Thacker, and Jam Pirtle.

Papillion-LaVista pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for Millard West, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
