Volleyball Recap: Rockford Auburn's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rockford Auburn won the last time they faced Freeport and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights came out on top against the Pretzels by a score of 2-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16.

Amani Jones paced Rockford Auburn's offense, picking up seven kills. Jones got some help from Conner Hawkins and his eight assists.

Rockford Auburn's win bumped their record up to 17-18. As for Freeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockford Auburn will face off against Rockford East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeport, they will take on Huntley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
