Division I Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Chris Ciarniello Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is North Kingstown's Chris Ciarniello, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ciarniello made 15 total tackles, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Ciarniello must have Portsmouth's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Ciarniello saw the Patriots), he made 14 total tackles and snagged an interception.

Spencer Posts Huge Game in 35-22 Loss
While Cumberland might've come up empty on Friday, Evan Spencer wasn't going down without a fight. Spencer was unstoppable, throwing for 197 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Bishop Hendricken's probably not too fond of Spencer given he always seems to get the better of them. When Spencer last faced the Hawks back in September, he rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 113 yards on ten of 17 attempts.
