Basketball Recap: Jayden Redhead Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Caney Creek

Fort Bend Dulles's tournament run continued when they took on Caney Creek on Friday. The Fort Bend Dulles Vikings came out on top against the Caney Creek Panthers by a score of 52-41.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Bend Dulles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Redhead, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 25 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Redhead has scored at least a third of Fort Bend Dulles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Koovakada, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Fort Bend Dulles' win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Caney Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Fort Bend Dulles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-45 victory against Channelview on the 27th. As for Caney Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-48 defeat against Dayton on the 27th.
