Football Recap: Whitwell Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Colin Beason and Adam Mcdougal

Whitwell lost against Bledsoe County back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a hard 26-7 fall against the Warriors.

Adam McDougal and Colin Beason certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McDougal gained 81 total yards and a touchdown, while Beason rushed for 30 yards. An impressive showing, but McDougal really ramped things up playing D: he forced one fumble, made 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Whitwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bledsoe County, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Whitwell will host Marion County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bledsoe County, they are taking a road trip to take on Oneida at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
