Softball Game Preview: Ramapo Raiders vs. DePaul Catholic Spartans

The Ramapo Raiders will square off against the DePaul Catholic Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ramapo 2.3, DePaul Catholic 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Ramapo had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Ridgewood put an end to it on Wednesday. The Raiders took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroons. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, DePaul Catholic fell victim to Immaculate Heart Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

DePaul Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ramapo, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.
