Basketball Recap: Chicago Marshall Takes a Loss

Chicago Marshall saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thornton Wildcats.

Thornton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deandre Higgs led the charge by shooting 73% from the field en route to 18 points and seven boards. Kobe Stevenson was another key player, going 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Chicago Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Thornton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Chicago Marshall will take on Julian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thornton, they will challenge Rich Township at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
