Volleyball Recap: Orchard Farm Eagles vs. Holt Indians
After flying high against Fort Zumwalt East last Thursday, Orchard Farm came back down to earth. The Orchard Farm Eagles fell just short of the Holt Indians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Orchard Farm wouldn't go down easily and took Holt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11.
Audrey Weber was nothing short of spectacular for Holt: she had 23 digs. With that strong performance, Weber is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.
Orchard Farm's loss dropped their record down to 11-10-2. As for Holt, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-3-1.
Orchard Farm will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Normandy at 4:00 p.m. Orchard Farm is facing Normandy at the right time seeing as Normandy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
