Basketball Recap: Kenmore West Blue Devils vs. Orchard Park Quakers
If the Kenmore West Blue Devils were riding high off their 56-25 takedown of the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kenmore West was beaten by the Quakers 73-36 on Saturday. Kenmore West was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-11.
It was another big night for Halle Senfield, who scored 34 points along with six assists and five rebounds for Orchard Park. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Senfield has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Hernandez, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Kenmore West's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Orchard Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Kenmore West will head out on the road to take on the Lumberjacks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Tonawanda comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Orchard Park, they will be playing at home against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jamestown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Quakers are ranked 132nd).
