Soccer Recap: Gulf Breeze Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Gulf Breeze has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Walton Seahawks. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Dolphins couldn't quite close it out.

Gulf Breeze's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-3. As for South Walton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3-5.

Gulf Breeze will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Choctawhatchee at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th. Choctawhatchee will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Gulf Breeze surely won't give up without a fight. South Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
