Soccer Game Preview: Pine View vs. Stansbury

The Pine View Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Stansbury Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine View's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Pine View's offense. They lost 6-0 to Dixie on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pine View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Dixie are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Stansbury kept a clean sheet against Jordan on Monday. They blew past the Beetdiggers 3-0.

Stansbury hit Jordan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from William Tadje, Hayden Maughan, and Caden Latford.

Stansbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Pine View, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Pine View beat Stansbury 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2015. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
