Football Recap: Torrey Pines Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Torrey Pines had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-2 to make it six. They fell 14-10 to the Mount Miguel Matadors. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly four points.

As for Mount Miguel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 10 points in those games.

A big part of Mount Miguel's win came down to the chemistry between Jeremiah Loper and his top target Aj Logan. Loper threw for 202 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes while Logan picked up 75 receiving yards and two scores. The dominant performance also gave Loper a new career-high in rushing yards (40).

Torrey Pines has already played their next game, a 34-7 victory against Escondido on the 19th. As for Mount Miguel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-32 win against Poway on the 19th.
