Baseball Recap: Seton Catholic Continues Road Dominance on Monday

On Monday, the Seton Catholic Sentinels made easy work of the Benjamin Franklin Chargers and carried off a 17-2 victory.

Drew Campagna looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Josh Brown was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Nathan Mulligan, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Benjamin Franklin only posted an OBP of .375.

Seton Catholic's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Benjamin Franklin, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.
