2021 Alabama commit Jacorey Brooks transfers to IMG Academy

One of the nation's top wide receivers will finish his high school career at IMG Academy.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) is already loaded with talent and are set to begin the 2020 high school football season as the the No. 1-ranked team in the country.

The Ascenders just got even better with the addition of 5-star wide receiver Jacorey Brooks.

The former Booker T. Washington (Miami) standout helped lead the Tornadoes to a 4A state title last season, finishing with nearly 1,200 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns. It was the Miami power's first championship since 2015.

Brooks earned Junior All-American first team honors from MaxPreps.

The Alabama commit becomes the eighth Top 300 player from the Class of 2021 on IMG's roster and will be one of J.J. McCarthy's favorite targets this season.



Some other notable players who transferred to IMG Academy since the calendar flipped to 2020 include Xavian Sorey, Ohio State commit Tunmise Adeleye, Walter Nolen, Tennessee commit Kamar Wilcoxson, Kamari Wilson, Myles Rowser, Shawn Miller, Trevon Howard and Samuel Mbake.

IMG Academy's campus is reopening on June 28 for summer camp. The top-ranked powerhouse has one of the nation's toughest schedules lined up.

Some notable names on the slate include No. 4 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore), No. 14 Northwestern (Miami), No. 18 Good Counsel (Olney, Md.), No. 19 St. John's (Washington, D.C.), Dutch Fork (Irmo, S.C.) and Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.).
