Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Ripley Vikings

Princeton hasn't had much luck against Ripley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Princeton Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Ripley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Princeton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.

Princeton is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since January 18th on Monday. They lost 57-33 to Woodrow Wilson.

Defeat or not, Princeton got some senior leadership from Asia Collins and Kalee Wright. Collins posted six points in addition to 13 boards and four steals, while Wright put up 12 points. Those 13 rebounds gave Collins a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Ripley suffered their closest loss since January 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lincoln County by a score of 53-50. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Princeton ended up a good deal behind Ripley when the teams last played back in January of 2020, losing 52-34. Can Princeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
