Baseball Game Preview: Hartfield Academy Hawks vs. St. Joseph Catholic Bruins

For the second straight game, Hartfield Academy will face off against St. Joseph Catholic. Hartfield Academy will challenge St. Joseph Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hartfield Academy has five straight victories, St. Joseph Catholic has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Hartfield Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past St. Joseph Catholic 10-0. Considering the Hawks have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

JP Abt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Hartfield Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.5 runs. As for St. Joseph Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
