When it comes to explaining why Palma lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Molinari. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for Salinas, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

As for Salinas, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hollister at 7:30 p.m. Hollister will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Salinas is ranked 146th).
