Basketball Game Preview: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Dixie Flyers

Snow Canyon and Dixie are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Snow Canyon Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snow Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.

Snow Canyon played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over Cedar. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Snow Canyon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Issaiah Thompson out in front who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Mackay, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Dixie's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to Pine View 48-44.

Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Snow Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Snow Canyon was able to grind out a solid win over Dixie in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 68-57. Does Snow Canyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dixie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
