Football Game Preview: Newton Cardinals vs. Xavier Saints + How To Watch

Newton is 0-3 against Xavier since September of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Cardinals will square off against the Saints at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Newton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gilbert 42-14. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Meanwhile, Xavier faced A-D-M in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Saints breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 45-7. 45 seems to be a good number for the Saints as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Newton's record is now 10-1. As for Xavier, their record now sits at 11-0.

Newton took a serious blow against Xavier in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 42-3. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cardinals were down 28-3.
