Baseball Recap: Putnam City West Comes Up Short

Putnam City West lost against Westmoore back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Putnam City West fell 7-2 to Westmoore. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Putnam City West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Putnam City West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Westmoore, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-5.

While Putnam City West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
