Volleyball Recap: Silver Stage Nighthawks vs. Sierra Lutheran Falcons
Silver Stage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Lutheran Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Nighthawks of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Silver Stage still got an impressive performance from Raven Smith, who had 66 digs, two aces, and a kill. Smith is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Booth, who had 13 digs and two kills.
Even though they lost, Silver Stage was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sierra Lutheran only served nine.
Bella Ruiz was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and two aces.
Silver Stage's record is now 1-20. As for Sierra Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
