Basketball Recap: Tuslaw Mustangs vs. Manchester Panthers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Tuslaw Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Manchester 59-21 at home. While fans of Tuslaw might be used to big wins, the 38-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Leading Tuslaw to victory were Breanna Mccabe and Destiny Dulkoski. Mccabe scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Dulkoski scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Dulkoski continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Rowbotham was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Tuslaw has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Manchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
Tuslaw will head out on the road to take on the Comets at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Coventry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 689th, while the Mustangs are ranked 140th). As for Manchester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Triway will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
