Basketball Recap: Shining Star Sports Academy Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Shining Star Sports Academy had won two straight home games and Babacar Ly did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Shining Star Sports Academy Panthers came out on top against the TPLS Christian Academy Lions by a score of 78-67 thanks in part to Ly, who went 14 of 22 en route to 32 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Cheikh Thiam was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

The win got Shining Star Sports Academy back to even at 9-9. As for TPLS Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
