Basketball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland lost against Eagle Point back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ashland Grizzlies were beaten by the Eagle Point Eagles 69-31. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Eagles are ranked 93rd).

Ashland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Eagle Point, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashland has already played their next contest (against Thurston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eagle Point is taking a road trip to challenge Churchill at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Point is facing Churchill at the right time seeing as Churchill is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
