It was a good run, but Dalton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 7-3 to the Allatoona Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Catamounts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 22nd).

Dalton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Allatoona, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dalton will host Cedartown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedartown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Allatoona, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Cass at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Allatoona's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last nine matches.
