Basketball Recap: Santa Rosa Find Success

Santa Rosa won the last time they faced Raymondville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Santa Rosa Warriors secured a 67-63 W over the Raymondville Bearkats. The Warriors didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Despite the loss, Raymondville still got an impressive performance from Colt Cavazos, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Cavazos has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden Mendez, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Santa Rosa's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Raymondville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Rosa will challenge IDEA Robindale at 5:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Raymondville, they will face off against IDEA Riverview at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Raymondville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.
