It was a good run, but Lakota West unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Hills Highlanders. The match marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lakota West's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Oak Hills, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakota West will venture away from home to take on Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Princeton will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Lakota West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Hills, they will face off against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
