Thomas Jefferson proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by five) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let Shaler Area get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give Thomas Jefferson's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Moon Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on Laurel Highlands with a sharp 4-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Moon Area, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Laurel Highlands with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rhys Hollowood (2), Eric Haupt, and Laercio De Sousa.

Moon Area's victory bumped their record up to 15-5-1. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 16-3-1.

Thomas Jefferson might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Moon Area in their previous matchup back in October of 2020. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
