Softball Recap: Madison Jaguars vs. Beekman Charter Tigers
Madison had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it eight. They lost 16-1 to the Beekman Charter Tigers. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Beekman Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.
For Beekman Charter's part, Kyla Battle was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Battle was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.
In other batting news, Kaleigh Benton was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.
