Flag Football Recap: Ponderosa Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Ponderosa's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 14-6 victory over the Elizabeth Cardinals. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Ponderosa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Addie Spain and Pacey Thompson.

Ponderosa's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Elizabeth, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Ponderosa will welcome Highlands Ranch at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.36 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elizabeth, they will face off against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
