League recap: Loyola Academy tops Evanston to extend winning streak

Loyola Academy extended the longest winning streak in Chicago Catholic - Blue this week by beating Evanston, 41-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Ramblers.

Loyola Academy took down the Wildkits 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Peter Pujals threw for 230 yards and one touchdown and ran for 77 yards in the win.

Loyola Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Ramblers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pujals has thrown for 1855 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Richard Wehman has 42 catches for 485 yards. Pujals also leads the league in rushing with 590 yards.

Going into this week's game against Bartlett, John Holecek's team's Pujals needs 145 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

Providence Catholic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 442 from 636. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 44-7 victory over Bradley-Bourbonnais last week.
