Basketball Recap: Grant Clemens' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coeur Du Christ Academy over Cascade

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coeur du Christ Academy can now relate to. They fell 64-57 to the Cascade Ramblers on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), the Saints still had to take the loss.

Coeur du Christ Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Clemens, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 22 points and three steals. That's the most points Clemens has posted since back in December of 2024. Ben Connelly was another key player, putting up 22 points and eight rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Coeur du Christ Academy and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Cascade, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Coeur du Christ Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cascade, they have already played their next matchup, a 57-43 defeat against Watersprings on the 8th.
