Volleyball Recap: Fall River Takes Down Palmyra-Eagle in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fall River had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-11, 23-25, 25-14.

Fall River found their leader in sophomore Aili Majocka, who had seven digs and three aces.

Fall River was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Fall River back to even at 16-16. As for Palmyra-Eagle, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Fall River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Abundant Life on the 23rd. Palmyra-Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
