Recap: Nicholas County Grizzlies vs. Shady Spring Tigers
The Nicholas County Grizzlies gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took down Shady Spring 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nicholas County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Among those leading the charge was Adrienne Truman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Alexis Odell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 9 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Shady Spring still got an impressive performance from Kendra Pizzino, who scored 22 points.
Nicholas County's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Shady Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nicholas County will square off against Midland Trail at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shady Spring, they will head out on the road to face off against WestSide at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
