Basketball Game Preview: Linden Eagles vs. Flushing Raiders

Linden is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Flushing is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Linden Eagles will welcome the Flushing Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Linden is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Goodrich just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Martians 60-31. The Eagles were down 46-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Flushing won against Kearsley on Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Flushing came out on top against Corunna by a score of 42-31.

Flushing is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Linden, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

Linden didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Flushing when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 31-25 victory. Will Linden repeat their success, or does Flushing have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
