Baseball Recap: Leland Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Leland proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Willow Glen Rams 4-3. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on William Hendricks, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Canter, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

The victory (which was Leland's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Willow Glen, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Leland is taking a road trip to challenge Los Altos at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Willow Glen, they will welcome Ann Sobrato at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
