Basketball Preview: Frankfort Panthers vs. Benzie Central Huskies
Frankfort and the Huskies are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Frankfort Panthers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Benzie Central Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Frankfort will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Huskies are ranked 99th).
Last Thursday, Frankfort took a serious blow against the Lakers, falling 57-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Frankfort has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Benzie Central came tearing into Thursday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 50-43 win over Onekama.
Frankfort's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Benzie Central, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
