Basketball Recap: Trenton Tigers vs. Bronson Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, the Trenton Tigers rose to the challenge on Monday. They claimed a resounding 74-10 win over the Eagles on the road. Trenton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 22 points or more this season.
Nyima Gillyard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Audrey Hubbard, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Trenton is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Bronson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Trenton will take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully the Tigers like a good challenge. Bronson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
