Baseball Game Preview: Milken Wildcats vs. Oakwood Owls

For the second straight game, Milken will face off against Oakwood. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Owls at 3:30 p.m.

Milken fell victim to Oakwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Milken got a good showing from Aidan Pereg, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the first time Pereg hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in March.

Oakwood's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Milken, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
