Basketball Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short

Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 72-50 to the Central Valley Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-35 on January 7th.

Central Valley found their leader in sophomore Xavier Manor, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manor has scored all season. Parteek Sohal was another key player, shooting 47% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Central Valley, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pacheco will take on rival Johansen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Central Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Beyer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
