Volleyball Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Lewisville Farmers

Marcus has gone 8-2 against Lewisville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Marauders will welcome the Farmers at 5:30 p.m.

Marcus lost 3-0 to Coppell on Tuesday.

Marcus took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 26-24.

Despite the defeat, Marcus got top-tier performance from Addelyn Cooke, who had 20 digs and two assists. Cooke is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Sophia Nash also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Lewisville had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Little Elm with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Marcus' loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Lewisville, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 10-22.

Marcus took their victory against Lewisville in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Farmers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
