It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Benjamin Franklin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Sunday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 94-91 win over Conrad Science. Benjamin Franklin's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Benjamin Franklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nazire Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Soukare Fane, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to South Philadelphia, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 49-32 bruising from High School of the Future on Thursday.
Benjamin Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Philadelphia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
