Preview: Grand Saline Indians vs. Lone Oak Buffaloes
Grand Saline is 1-9 against Lone Oak since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grand Saline Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Lone Oak Buffaloes at 5:45 p.m. Grand Saline is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Grand Saline suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Prairiland by a score of 38-35.
Lone Oak fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Chisum with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-36.
Grand Saline has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Lone Oak, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
Grand Saline didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Lone Oak in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 31-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Saline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
