Football Recap: Thunder Ridge's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Thunder Ridge was riding high fresh off their 48-14 takedown of Centennial last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the Hillcrest Knights on Friday, falling 49-28. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Knights are ranked fourth).

Tyson Sweetwood had an outrageously good game for Hillcrest as he rushed for 124 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dax Sargent helped out on the ground, rushing for 139 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Thunder Ridge fell to 2-1. As for Hillcrest, the victory was the eighth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Thunder Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 38-23 loss against Highland on the 19th. As for Hillcrest, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-19 win against Skyline on the 19th.
