Owensboro put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Apollo Eagles. Given Owensboro's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Apollo are ranked 115th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Owensboro hit Apollo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Peter Mbayo (2), Jackson Sigler, and Kennedy Payne.

Owensboro's victory bumped their record up to 7-0-1. As for Apollo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
