Basketball Recap: Orem Takes a Loss

Orem lost against Uintah back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Orem Tigers lost to the Uintah Utes at home by a 37-23 margin. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Uintah had a senior duo take command as Lauren Labrum went 7 of 13 en route to 15 points and Emily Bake posted a point along with six boards and three steals. That's the most steals Bake has posted since back in January of 2024.

Orem's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Uintah, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Orem will head out to take on Mountain View at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Orem surely won't give up without a fight. As for Uintah, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Provo at 5:15 p.m. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.
