            Volleyball Recap: York Institute Dragons vs. Jackson County Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            York Institute extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson County Blue Devils. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
As for Jackson County, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory they have posted  since September 19, 2024.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Bella Chaffin, who  had 15  digs and six  kills. That's the most  digs  Chaffin has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lillianne Wilson, who  had 16  kills, nine  digs,  and two  aces.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. York Institute will  take on  rival Red Boiling Springs  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Jackson County is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Clay County  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
